Set up the devices

What you need

A tablet with a recent browser, a screen with a device capable of running a browser, and an Internet connection for both views. Position the screen where it is visible at the pass and keep devices powered.

A television with an HDMI input needs a display device if it has no suitable browser. The current workflow needs no vision box or camera.

Activate your manager account

1. Open the invitation link provided by the Kelna team. It lasts one hour and can be used only once.
2. Choose a password, then sign in.
3. Set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app and keep recovery codes in a safe place.
4. Check the organization and venue shown. If your room is missing, contact the Kelna team.

Pair the tablet and pass display

1. At app.kelna.fr/account, choose your organization and venue if they are not already selected.
2. Choose device type “Tablet” and create a pairing code.
3. On the tablet, open app.kelna.fr/tablet and enter the code before it expires after five minutes.
4. Create a new code of type “Pass”. On the display device, open app.kelna.fr/pass and enter this second code.
5. Check the venue name on each device before starting.

Check the display

The pass starts in dark mode and the tablet in light mode. You can change the theme and language through the device controls. Check readability from the actual working distance.

A full-screen browser can serve as the pass display. Adding the app to the home screen depends on the browser; Kelna remains accessible through its web address.
