Join and split tables

Join tables

The group keeps the earliest seating time and step start. A later action applies to every member table. Joining does not change the floor plan.

1. On the tablet, select the table that will anchor the group.
2. Choose “Join tables” and select at least one other table in the same space.
3. Check that all are open or at the same service state. Correct observations if necessary.
4. Confirm: the group appears under a shared label, for example “4+5”.

Split or undo

Splitting preserves the shared state and timers on each table. It does not reset the waits.

You can undo a join or split while no subsequent action prevents it. After splitting, a previous group observation cannot be corrected individually. Tables are separate again in the next service.
