Use Kelna during service

Record events when they happen and keep a shared view of waiting tables.

Open the service

  1. Open the tablet view and check the venue and floor plan.
  2. Choose “Open service”.
  3. Check that the pass display shows the service. The plan and thresholds stay fixed until it closes.

Follow a table

  1. Tap its number on the tablet’s plan.
  2. Choose the action matching the observed event: guests seated, first visit, order taken, food served, bill requested, bill delivered, payment or departure.
  3. Wait for the action’s confirmation. The pass display reflects the confirmed state.
  4. When guests leave, choose “Guests have left”. After clearing, choose “Clear table”.

Correct an entry

Select the table, then “Undo last action” when available. The previous state and timer start are restored.

If a step was missed, choose the action actually observed from the available actions. Kelna does not invent the time of a missed observation. After a concurrent change, refresh before trying again.

Close the service

At the end of service, choose “Close service” and confirm. Final observations are preserved; the next service starts with new journals and separate tables.

An updated version may be offered on the home page. Install it between services, after closing tablet and pass views in the same browser.
